How could you make this year

the best year of your life?

by Tarotmaster Ulrik Golodnoff

We live in the age of information and communication. It is no longer necessary to go the Himalayas to sit at the feet of a guru to learn about truth. The gurus are coming to us, the mountains are coming to Mohammed, now truth is knocking on your door. And what are they all saying? They say that our minds are infinite, that reality is not fixed. They tell us that we all create our own reality – and that we can change it, if we wish.

But how? What is the magic we need to work, what is the alchemy that will change our lives? I will make this very simple: There is one major law in the universe, and if you follow it, you can have everything you want!
What is this law? It is called "The Law of Attraction". It is universal and has always been known. In magic operations it is known as "Like attracts like". This is why we venerate icons portraying gods or holy women and men. By focusing on these images we direct our efforts towards the spiritual entities they portray. And we imagine their blessings following the same trail in reverse, arriving in our hearts to become visible in our lives.

On the dark side we know the same rule from black magic: how you need a hair or a fingernail from a person to cast a personal spell. In voodoo it is thought that any action you do to a doll will transfer to the person it represents.

What is magic?
Magic is the use of your will to consciously change your reality. It was believed that it came in two forms, black and white. Black magic is when you change your reality for your own benefit. White magic is when you do it for the common good. At least – this is how magic has been understood to date. Maybe the time has come to change our views. It seems that the law of attraction does not particularly care why you do it or who you do it for – it works anyway. This would explain a lot of the injustice we see in the world.
How does the law of attraction work? It works in three definite steps:

1. YOU ask
2. THE UNIVERSE answers
3. YOU receive

We ask all the time. Wishing is asking.
The universe answers all the time. It finds the quickest, shortest way to fulfill your wish.
Why do you not get what you wished for? This is the crux of the matter: you are not allowing yourself to receive. How can this be? How can you ask and wish again and again without ever experiencing the happiness of receiving what you are asking for? What are you doing wrong? - You are not following the law.

If you do not think - and simultaneously feel - that you deserve what you ask for, you cannot attract it. Instead you will attract something else. That which you think you deserve. And the law says you receive what you attract.

The split

This is the beauty of the law: it shows you the need for unity. It does not work as long as you are experiencing a split between intellect and instinct.
Your life has taught you to think and be objective. This means you are able to separate mind and body. In order to learn how to get along in life and live with the disappointments we experience along the way, most of us choose to think about life instead of feeling it.
We think that by distancing ourselves from what life really feels like, by theorizing about it, we protect ourselves by planning for a better future. It is a proven fact, that when the pressure on the personality gets too strong, our consciousness exteriorizes.

One of my friends lived a difficult childhood as the younger son of a violent father. As a grown man, he once told his elder brother how he had seen their father beating the elder brother on the landing of the stairs in their childhood home. “But that didn't happen to me – it was you getting the beating!” the elder brother answered. And my friend realized it was true.
When your feelings are under too much pressure, they close and you choose to live your life through your mind.
This is a pressure valve, which saves us.

You make your life a house of mirrors: everything is represented. Each part of your reality is mirrored in your mind by representation, but you are not living it, you are thinking it. You have sold out on the real experience to protect yourself against feeling. And by closing the door to pain, you also close the door to joy.
The pain and pleasure centres in the brain are so close that you cannot disconnect one without affecting the other. Catch 22! This survival mechanism works in small matters as well, especially in a culture like ours. In this first century of the third millennium, in this modern world, thought has for a long time outwitted feeling.
Psychologically speaking, thought is outgoing, aggressive and associated with masculinity, while feeling is passive, receptive and associated with femininity. We could say that the masculine trend has had its way for a long time.
The solution is not to return to a female ruling system, which would be just as one-sided, but to finally find the equilibrium between the two, the marriage of heaven and hell, father and mother, instituting the kingdom of heaven on earth.

How can we do this? - through the heart.
The heart is often used as a symbol of feelings, but to me it is more than that. It is the symbol of wise feelings, the authentic mixture of your mind and body, thought and feeling.
Our feelings can be as wrong and off the mark as our thoughts. It seems that no one has had an uncomplicated childhood and we all carry our scars inside. "My parents were too hard on me", "my parents were too indulgent",
"my parents were never there", "my parents would not leave me alone".
Remember they were the victims of their parents. No matter how much parents try to do their best, children will always find fault and complain.

As a young man I spent twenty years practicing Tibetan Buddhism, trying to heal the scars of my childhood.
When I  visited the Buddhist temples in Nepal, Sikkim and Tibet ten years later, a lama asked me:
"Why are you here?"
I tried to answer as best I could, "Well, you see, my mother and my father never - "Ahh, you brought your mother and father? How wonderful! Where are they? Why did you not bring them the temple? I would like to meet them!"
I realized I had brought them to the temple – in fact (though I was more than fifty years old) I still took them everywhere I went. Wow! When will it ever end?
It will end when you balance yourself and learn to live in an authentic way, being honest about your whole person, including your light and your shadow, your love and your hate, your courage and your fear.

Finding a balanced heart
The first step will be to find your real heart. Physically your heart is positioned in the middle between your brain and your genitals. A balanced heart makes decisions based on both intellect and instinct.
A wise heart integrates intellect and instinct, mind and body, thinking and feeling.
It makes you feel whole when you decide and act.

But if you live your life ping-ponging from one to the other, knowing it all in your mind, but again and again being surprised by how your feelings react, this duality sends out a jarring signal.
When you are saying this but doing that, what part of you do you want the universe to respond to?  Saying, "Do as I say, not as I do!" will prevent you from receiving what you are asking for.

This incongruence is what makes the third part of the law of attraction, the receiving, so difficult. It is very tricky: if you do not feel happy, you cannot attract happiness.
"There is no road to happiness – happiness is the way" a Tibetan proverb says.

It seems you have to start living as if you had the result – in order to get it. A difficult task indeed. How can you start by being happy, when happiness is exactly what you are missing? Well, if you have tried to attain happiness and fulfilment all your life, and nothing has worked so far, maybe it's time for a new approach?

Exercise
1. Decide on a wish, any wish – and send it out
2. Allow the universe to bring it in whatever shape, whenever the time is right
3. Connect yourself to your wish. Feel it, enjoy it, welcome it into your life.
Live as if it was already part of your life.  If this does not make your wish come true, I will suggest another solution:

Work on your unity
This will teach you how to live in unity with your thoughts and feelings, so one part of you does not order one dish, when the other part wants to eat something completely different in Life’s restaurant.
But before working to create your unity, you have work to do. Because if you do not know who or where you are, how can you change yourself or your position?

Consider this story: Bill and Ben love to drive in cross-country rallies. One night they are blazing down a country road. Bill is at the wheel, Ben is bent over the map. Suddenly the road ends. Ben manages to bring the powerful engine to a stop, and they sit stunned, staring at a cornfield in the beam of the headlights.  "Ben, which way? Which way, Ben?" Bill yells. "Depends where we are, and I’m still trying to figure that out – " Ben answers.

The tool I am offering you will have a threefold effect on your life. It analyzes your present situation by showing you your strengths and weaknesses. It tells you exactly what to do about them. And it shows you how to manifest your dreams, how to take the necessary steps from inspiration to manifestation.
You already have all the information you need to solve your riddle. After 37 years studying astrology, numerology, tarot and kabala, I feel this is the key to the universe and to every person’s individuality.
Let it reveal what till now has been the mystery of your life: how to attract what you want. This will make it possible for you to live as you always hoped you would. The life you secretly knew was possible. The life you know you deserve. Welcome yourself to it!

Why is this happening now?
There is a great pattern in the history of mankind. Every two thousand years the spring equinox moves from one constellation to the next.
The age of Pisces began at the time Jesus was born, but as we move from the secret and personal influence, which ruled in the age of Pisces into the open and team-oriented age of Aquarius, this information is becoming the property of anyone wishing to use it.
